West - How You Get Creative (Workshop 2)
Participants will experiment with a variety of artistic materials to explore ideas in an open, relaxed environment. Building on their learning by doing, participants will begin to think about how they could use art and culture as a social tool within their community.
About the Trainer
Penny Rowe is an artist and director of Penny's Community Arts (CIC), since 2014 she has been sharing art around Leeds and working with schools, nursing homes, community groups and voluntary organisations. Part of Penny's work as a community artist is to support people to engage with the wider public to promote their purposes and objectives. Penny is a multi-displinary artist who use displicines such as digital photography, wood carving, fine art and ceramics to facilitate engagement with the wider community.
This workshop is number 2 in a series of 4 free workshops developed by Leeds 2023 and Voluntary Action Leeds. These workshops are designed to help you kickstart your arts organisation and access funding or find out how you can use arts and culture to develop your organisation and achieve your goals.
