North - How You Get Funding - Finding and Applying for Grant Funding in the Arts (Workshop 4)
We will look at how to prepare a successful application - including what funders are looking for in answer to key questions. By assessing bids we will consider what makes a bid stand our from the rest.
After the session you will have the opportunity to get feedback on any draft bids to help you improve your chance of success.

- Be aware of that funders want to know about your organisation and project/activities
- Answer key questions on application forms
- Know how bids are assessed
About the Trainer
Kaye is a project worker at Voluntary Action Leeds supporting third sector organisations with funding and governance issues. She has worked in the sector for over 30 years supporting a wide range of organisations to apply for funding. Kaye is a PGCE qualified trainer, and has developed and delivered a range of courses/workshops supporting voluntary, community and faith based groups to identify and access funding.
This workshop is the final session in a series of 4 free workshops developed by Leeds 2023 and Voluntary Action Leeds. These workshops are designed to help you kickstart your arts organisation and access funding or find out how you can use arts and culture to develop your organisation and achieve your goals.
