Meet the Funder: The Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund (Grant Round 8)
The Mayor’s Safer Communities Fund, provides grants of up to £10,000 to voluntary, community groups, charities and partners to provide support for innovative community safety projects.
The fund welcomes projects which support any of the 3 priorities within the 2024-2028 Police and Crime Plan:
- Supporting Victims and Witnesses
- Keeping People Safe
- Safer Places and Thriving Communities
All applications must align with policing, tackling crime and community safety, you are advised to read The Police and Crime Plan - West Yorkshire Combined Authority (westyorks-ca.gov.uk) for more information on the themes outlined above.
- This round opens on 2nd June 2025 with deadline for applications at midday 4th July. The awards evening for this grant round is due to take place on Tuesday 7 October, 2025. - Learn more about what can be funded
- Check your planned request for funding (and your organisation) is eligible
- Know what makes a successful funding application
- Understand the application process
