Introduction to Working Together to Safeguard Children and Young People (level 1 Safeguarding)

This half day training is for people who may have the ability to identify levels of vulnerability of children and young people, either directly, through work with their families / carers or through the setting in which they work.

This is seen as a minimum requirement for all people working within settings which work with or have regular contact with children and young people. It is recommended that people undertake Refresher Training every 3 years.

Learning Outcomes:-

People that want a basic understanding of safeguarding in organisations.

People in leadership positions of small third sector organisations that need to develop safeguarding policies.

Explore why safeguarding is important for all organisations.

Find out about the key information you need to include in a safeguarding policy.

Begin to think about the content of your safeguarding policy.
