Zoom session- People's Health Trusts Active Communities funding programme application
People’s Health Trust’s Active Communities funding programme zoom session:
Thursday 25th June 2020
Time: 1pm – 2.30 pm
This zoom session will help you to decide if your idea for a community project will be eligible for funding from the People’s Health Trust and will help you to complete the short first stage application.
People’s Health Trust’s Active Communities funding programme is providing grants of £5,000 - £40,000 over up to 2 years for supporting people to create or shape local projects to make their community/neighbourhood an even better place to live. The funding is for projects in specific areas of Leeds where health inequalities are highest.
The trust is looking for small and local projects, genuinely designed and run by local people. So you could be a small group of people on an estate, in a few streets or villages or a community of interest - where a group of people come together who have a shared issue they want to address, this could be neighbourhood based or wider.
Previously funded ideas: a group for local older and younger people to get together to do activities (e.g. craft, technology, history); a group for adults to learn English and enterprise skills connected to sewing; a local magazine written by and for the benefit of disabled people; a community café created and run by single parents as a space to meet, a tenants action group for people living on an estate.
The short on-line first stage application form must be completed by 1pm on 1st July. It would be really helpful if you visit the Trust’s website and read the guidance: https://www.peopleshealthtrust.org.uk/apply-for-funding and have an idea of the project you might want funding for.
The course will help you to:
- Find out about the People’s Health Trust’s Active Communities Fund

- Get key tips on how to complete the key questions on the stage one application
