Online Training- Prevent Duty

Course Description

CPD Approved
This course starts with an overview of the Government’s Prevent strategy, and then looks at some of the reasons people become extremists. It goes on to cover the objectives of the Prevent strategy, how to base your actions on a risk based approach, what to do if you are concerned and much more.

Online Training By Neil Lee Training, offered by VAL

During the Coronavirus Pandemic, Voluntary Action Leeds has suspended its face to face training offer until further notice. 

However we will be providing a limited number of training sessions on-line in partnership with Neil Lee Training (a regular trainer at VAL).

The courses will give you an opportunity to keep your skills up to date and relevant in an ever changing environment.  The courses are tutor led, one-to-one interactive on-line courses which you can do in your own time, at your own pace and at your own place.  Courses are fun to take part in and really easy to access. 

All courses are delivered by expert trainers with years of experience in the field. Learners will be asked questions at the end of each unit, which they will need to answer successfully in order to complete the course (but don’t worry if you get it wrong as you can try again), after which they will receive a certificate of achievement  approved by the relevant awarding bodies including CPD and Neil Lee Training Centre of Excellence.
