Zoom Online Training- Public Speaking

Registration is closed for this event
This training is designed for people who would like to learn the basic skills of public speaking and learn practical tips on how to be a better public speaker.

During this day-long course, we explore the nature of public speaking and how to identify what type of public speaker everyone is. We cover a practical session in how to manage nerves and the keys to essential preparation to make any speech a success.

Participants will not be forced to speak in front of the group, rather we will be focusing on developing confidence. The group will then learn how humans behave as tribes and how
we can use that tribal nature to change attitudes and opinions.

Zoom Online Training

During the Coronavirus Pandemic, Voluntary Action Leeds has suspended its face to face training offer until further notice; however as part of our commitment to deliver good quality, accessible training to the third sector in Leeds, we have now decided to launch a new range of Zoom Training Sessions.

These sessions will be led by experienced trainer, and regular VAL associate, Stephen Dowson. Stephen has a wealth of training experience and is able to facilitate and deliver informative and engaging sessions; receiving great feedback from his attendees. Check out his website for more information and testimonials of his work https://www.standandbecounted.co.uk/

Stephen will lead the Zoom sessions, taking the attendee through a variety of subject matters, engaging the audience and opening up debate for learning. You will receive a top quality training session  from the comfort of your own home or office.

Participants will need to download the Zoom app on their computer 48 hours beforehand, full details will be emailed prior to the event, including all information on how to access the session.
