Best City Ambition – Third Sector Workshop
Third Sector Leeds and Health and Care Leaders are working together with colleagues from Leeds City Council to host this upcoming workshop, focused on the ‘Best City Ambition’ and what it means for the third sector.
As a key third sector advocate, you are invited to attend an upcoming Third Sector Workshop focused on the Best City Ambition, taking place online via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday 20 May 2025, from 3pm to 5pm.
Leeds City Council is currently refreshing the Best City Ambition, and this workshop is a key opportunity for the third sector to help shape that process. Together, we’ll explore how the Ambition can better reflect the sector’s priorities, strengthen collaboration, and support the leadership and impact of third sector organisations across the city.
What’s the Best City Ambition? This is the name for the collective ambition for Leeds to be the Best City in the UK – “where we work together in partnership to achieve our goals, proud of our strengths and track record of success, but focused fiercely on tackling poverty and reducing inequalities wherever we can”. There are currently three pillars of the Best City Ambition: health and wellbeing, inclusive growth, and zero carbon. To achieve these, the ‘Team Leeds’ approach has been developed, which is a way of different partners working together and supporting one another. You can read more about Team Leeds, and the Best City Ambition here.
