Free Course - Commissioning: Pricing up Bids - 10 March 2020

This session is part of a series of workshops on commissioning starting with 'Introduction to Commissioning' and 'Bidding for Contracts'.

This course is suitable for any voluntary or community sector organisation planning, or in the process of bidding for a contract from a public sector provider, and for staff who are new to bidding for contracts.

This course is only available to Leeds based small groups and third sector organisations in Leeds. 

Course Description

Leeds City Council, NHS CCGs and other public sector bodies are keen to contract with third sector organisations to provide services through the commissioning process which involves the assessment of a community’s needs and buying in organisations to provide services to meet those needs.

The session will focus on producing a budget for your project/service and help you to complete the financial requirements of a tender and demonstrate your financial capacity and controls.The course runs until 3pm but the last hour is for any queries or questions you may need answering.

This session run by WYCAS is a follow up session to Commissioning – Bidding for Contracts delivered by VAL which supports third sector groups to complete tenders. Please read our cancellation policy below.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Pricing up a service. 
  • Working out direct costs, overheads and costs per beneficiary/service.
  • Completing Service Cost Analysis Forms and Pricing Schedules.
  • Demonstrating financial capacity and controls.

Please note as this course is a free course if you book a place and are unable to attend for any reason (i.e. illness, or other circumstances) and cannot send another colleague in your place, please let us know as soon as possible. If you give us less than 14 days notice you will be charged a £10 non attendance fee.
