This course is suitable for anyone who works with Volunteers and especially those who manage volunteer programmes.
Course Description
Legislation relating to volunteer programmes is very different from employment law. This half-day session aims to ensure that you know all the essentials to avoid those pitfalls.

- What you can and can’t offer to volunteers
- What provision you must make for insurance, risk assessment and DBS checks
- How to avoid setting up a ‘contract’ with volunteers – and why that’s important
- What is allowed when volunteers are claiming benefits
