Organisation Aims and Activities: The WEA is a national adult education provider that operates regionally. We are a charity, publically funded and ofsteded on a regular basis. We also work with groups and organisations that receive funding for specific educational projects. We run accredited and non-accredited courses for 16+ irrespective of age, gender, sexuality, race, ethnicity and religion, including adults with mental health problems, physical disabilities, and / or learning difficulties. Some courses for the general public are advertised in our brochure and website, however, some are discrete courses requested by community agents or groups, including Trade Unions. All our courses are run in a wide variety of local community venues including schools and centres.
