Organisation Aims and Activities: Yorkshire Cancer Research is Yorkshire?s cancer charity and we are dedicated to helping local people beat cancer by supporting world-class research. We work for the benefit of Yorkshire people, and share our findings to improve the lives of people everywhere. Our Mission is to develop new scientific knowledge that will save lives through earlier diagnosis, prevention, and better treatment of cancer. We focus on getting that knowledge from the lab to the patient. We ensure that Yorkshire remains a centre of excellence for cancer research and treatment, attracting and retaining world-class scientists and clinicians. We work in partnership with other charities and organisations to achieve the greatest impact in the global fight against cancer. We aim to become one of the most efficient cancer charities in the UK.
