Organisation Aims and Activities: Pos?i?tive Action for Refugees and Asy?lum Seek?ers (PAFRAS) works with asy?lum seek?ers, refugees and local com?mu?ni?ties in Leeds and the sur?round?ing area pro?vid?ing human?i?tar?ian sup?port for asy?lum seek?ers who are home?less, with?out food or money and pre?vented from improv?ing their sit?u?a?tion by gov?ern?ment pol?icy. PAFRAS runs a twice-weekly drop-in at which we pro?vide, a hot meal and case?work sup?port amongst other ser?vices. We cur?rently receive an aver?age of just under 700 vis?its each month.
