Radio Asian Fever CIC (Fever FM)

Organisation Aims and Activities: i) To establish and provide a Community Radio for the South Asian Community of Leeds, broadcasting in the various community languages (Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Kashmiri dialects) and English. (ii) To provide an accessible alternative media, and a voice for those who are under-represented or excluded. (iii) To inform, educate and entertain the South Asian Community by developing, producing, broadcasting appropriate and relevant programmes and publishing community news letter and website. (iv) To provide training opportunities in all aspects of Radio Broadcasting for local radio enthusiasts, volunteers and members of the Community. (v) To empower the South Asian Community, especially young people, women and the elderly through the promotion of health, education, training and employment opportunities. (vi) To promote equal access to amenities, services and service providers through broadcasts and non broadcast activities. (vii) To work with the wider communities, faiths and cultures to develop and promote activities that facilitate community cohesion and positive interaction. (viii) To provide the above services to the members of the community free of charge.
