The Tetley

Organisation Aims and Activities: The Tetley is a pioneering centre for contemporary art located in the stunning art deco headquarters of the former Tetley Brewery. We create a platform for emerging artists, present breathtaking free exhibitions and help communities and young people in Leeds find their creative voice. Our building hosts unique gallery spaces, a learning studio for our award-winning participation programme and an artist residency studio. Originated by artists, and established by the charity Project Space Leeds, artists remain at the centre of everything we do. Proudly investing in new and emerging artists to create work, we fulfil a vital role within the Leeds art scene, offering a significant public platform alongside outstanding national and international work, often presented in the UK for the first time. The Tetley is supported by Arts Council England, Carlsberg UK, Leeds City Council, Esm?e Fairbairn Foundation and Garfield Weston Foundation.
