Home-Start Leeds

Organisation Aims and Activities: Volunteers needed to visit families with at least one child under 7 years old, in their own homes across Leeds. Volunteers offer families support with a range of issues they may be dealing with. From financial issues to mental health problems, issues with brining up children and housing. Volunteers are required to attend a 15 week preparation course which s 3 hours per week (weekday morning or evenings) before they can support a family. This s a great opportunity for anyone seeking to gain experience of supporting families and children. Volunteers are able to access excellent learning and development opportunities. A good level of spoken English is required for this role. The role is available Leeds wide. Volunteers can use their own transport or public transport. Home-Start reimburse travel expenses. All volunteers require a DBS and two references.
