Organisation Aims and Activities: Leeds Mencap is a completely independent charity that was created sixty years ago, by and for, the people of Leeds with learning disabilities. Leeds Mencap currently supports over 250 families on a weekly basis and aims to provide support, advice and practical help for the whole family, long term. We do this through a range of activities, including: Junior Youth Club for 9-13 year olds Junior Youth Club for 14-18 year olds Me2 ? an inclusive dance project for 12 - 25 year olds A Sibling Support Group Friday Club for 18-25 year olds School Holiday Playschemes Parent/Carer Support Projects The Rookery residential home The Hawthorn Family Support Centre for families with children under three
