Organisation Aims and Activities:

The Centre for Health Promotion Research (CHPR) is based within the Faculty of Health at Leeds Beckett University and has an excellent track record in obtaining commissions to undertake research, evaluation, training and consultancy and in delivering quality projects on time. . The CHPR has grown to be a centre of excellence, well regarded regionally and nationally by public health practitioners.We share a strong commitment to tackling health inequalities and work closely with public health practitioners, local health agencies and the wider public health community. Recent projects include: -People in Public Health, a national study on approaches to develop and support lay people in public health roles funded through the NIHR SDO programme. -Evaluation of Community Health Information and Links, Leeds - a volunteer scheme based in Women's Health Matters. -Development of an evaluation framework and training workshops for Leeds Childhood Obesity
