Organisation Aims and Activities: [Constitution revised 2021] Aims: To promote and encourage creative activity for learning, enjoyment, therapeutic and personal development outcomes.
To develop activity that will have a positive impact upon health and wellbeing, promoting inclusion, increasing confidence, and building resilience, at both individual and community level.
To contribute to cultural, social and economic development of the city of Leeds.
To promote and facilitate communication between individuals, groups, organisations and projects supporting the organisation's aims.
To support access to culture according to the Universal Human Right, Article 27, (1): Everyone has the right freely to participate in the cultural life of the community, to enjoy the arts and to share in scientific advancement and its benefits.
Objectives:
To coordinate a range of participatory, training, and/or employment opportunities.
To develop projects according the interests of participants and potential participants.
To seek funding and/or other resources as applicable to projects.
To support and contribute to broader creative activity and profile-raising in the city.
To work in partnership wherever possible, effective and efficient.
