Moor Allerton Elderly Care

Organisation Aims and Activities: MAECare aims to improve the quality of life of older people in the Moor Allerton and Shadwell areas of north Leeds (LS17). With support from local volunteers, they provide a befriending service, volunteer car scheme, exercise classes, social outings and events, and learning opportunities such as Silver Surfers and art classes. The Mind & Body project aims to improve the emotional health and wellbeing of older people through creative programming and by supporting volunteers to be Mental Health Champions in their own community.
