Organisation Aims and Activities: Hang On To A Dream is the first regional charity in Yorkshire for seriously ill young people and children with life threatening illnesses to make their dreams come true. Set up in 1997, Hang On To A Dream has granted the wishes and dreams of more than 70 young people with life threatening illnesses. Dream judges each case individually and operates a flexible policy regarding age which means that not only do we help young children, but also teens and twenties. Another thing which makes Dream unique is the fact that not one penny raised for the young people is spent on administration cost, wages or equipment.Cases can cost a few pence to a few thousanfd pounds. Everything from a signed photo of Terry Wogan to a trip to Disney Land, from visiting Liverpool FC, to landscaping a garden. At Dream we delight in making young people SMILE.
