Touchstone - Positive Care Programme

Organisation Aims and Activities: The Positive Care Programme is a 24 week course of complementary therapies and motivational workshops for adults who have long-term illness and unpaid carers. It is based on the principle that for wellbeing, body, mind and spiritual aspects of the self all need attention. The programme includes three main elements: Motivational workshops (e.g. nutritional therapy, spiritual exploration (non-religious), teaching self-massage, finding inner peace) Group therapies (meditation, Tai Chi, yoga, therapeutic art) Individual therapies (acupuncture, EFT, healing, homeopathy, Indian head massage, reflexology, shiatsu, massage).
Open Hours: In October 2009, the trustees of the Positive Care Programme decided to transfer the funding and responsibility for the delivery of the service to a partner organization: Touchstone.
