Leeds Music Club

Organisation Aims and Activities: The aim of the Club is to provide a platform for performers within a friendly and appreciative atmosphere with programmes made up of pieces offered by members - usually a mixture of solo and ensemble items for voices and instruments. Solo performers are required to take an audition but there are places for non-performers who help increase the audience. Sometimes members join together in order to perform choral and/or orchestral items. There is a wide range of ages, and students have been particularly encouraged since the Club was founded in 1932. Many have performed at the Club and then proceeded to full time musical education and careers.
