Ciaran Bingham Foundation Trust

Organisation Aims and Activities: Ciaran Bingham Foundation Trust (CBFT) was set up in 2010 by family and friends, in memory of Ciaran, a young man who died in an accident at the age of 19, the new group aimed to help the elderly and young people in South Leeds. Very quickly, the Charity identified social isolation among older as a major issue and in particular, a need for ?out of hours? services and social activities for older people, to take place in the evenings, at weekends, and over holiday periods (particularly Christmas when other services close for up to 2 weeks and in August when few activities take place),and for more appropriate ?bad weather services? and to also supplement the weekend activities and other services provided by statutory and other voluntary sector organisations. C.B.F.T is meeting these needs through regular events in different venues in South Leeds.
