Horsforth Village Historical Society

Organisation Aims and Activities: Horsforth Village Historical Society operates the local museum which currently has five exhibition rooms, one on the ground floor. The new Resource Centre provides a new meeting room with lift access. We try to change the display in two rooms every two years. Three rooms remain as Horsforth local history rooms. School/Private visits by arrangement. Events (e.g. lectures) are held on historic subjects / walks / visits on a monthly basis. Membership costs ?10 couples, ?6 singles. Newsletters are issued periodically. Volunteers may help with archiving, staffing the museum, or general research/administration. A workgroup meets each Tuesday afternoon from 2.00pm to 4.00pm.
