Alcoholics Anonymous

Organisation Aims and Activities:

AA is a voluntary fellowship of men and women who are alcoholics and who help each other to achieve and maintain sobriety by staying away from one drink, one day at a time. Group meetings help to maintain this and each member follows a programme of Twelve Steps to recovery. Self-honesty amongst members is fundamental and anonymity preserved. There is no membership fee - voluntary contributions only. There are meetings in the Leeds area for women and men who have experienced problems with alcohol and want to stop drinking.
