Facilities for Art, Badminton, Carpet Bowls, Chess, Fitness League, Lacemaking and Craft, Chamber Orchestra, Singers, Social Club, Tennis, Women's Club, Football. Affiliated groups: Scouts and Guides, Townswomen's Guild. We seek to provide a centre for the residents of Alwoodley to come and relax and enjoy the many facilities available including a licensed bar and comfy lounge. There is a large screen TV and games tables in the Family Room. The Social Club organises a quiz competition throughout the winter months when Sections of the ACA submit teams to take part. They also arrange horse race evenings and bingo evenings.We have a Gala in June and the different Sections of the ACA organise social events, e.g. coffee mornings, jumble sales, etc., to raise funds not only to help maintain the premises and facilities but to nurture the social aspect of the community.
