St Luke's Youth Project

Organisation Aims and Activities: We encourage young people to make positive life choices by providing a multi-service approach to youth provision in LS11, providing community sports development for all members and all races within the community, operating in local schools, community centres and local residential estates. Football, cricket, netball and basketball are some of the sports we offer. Our offices at 173a Beeston Road provide an Information Drop-in Point for young people covering any area of interest or needs they have, and as part of this we offer a health drop-in on Thursday afternoons. We also have an extensive computer gaming and web searching facility. The project also employs Schools Transition Workers helping Primary School children make the change to Secondary School. Flash Community Dance aims to empower young people in the positive development of their physical, emotional, social and mental health and well being.
