Organisation Aims and Activities: The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity making a daily difference to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis and those who care for them. Cystic Fibrosis is a life-shortening genetic conditon that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. We invest in cutting-edge research to develop improved treatments and one day a cure. We drive up standards of clinical care at specialist CF centres and clinics, we provide trusted information advice and support to those affected through our publicity, website and support services. There are almost 10,000 people with CF in the UK. Each week five babies are born with the condition. We have volunteer branches all over the region offering support and involvement to parents and sufferers
