Organisation Aims and Activities: The Dyslexia Institute is an educational charity founded in 1972 for the assessment and teaching of people with dyslexia. The centre offers: Psychological assessments / educational assessments, Group screening for schools and colleges, Specialist multi-sensory tuition, Study skills teaching, Awareness days / training, Free advice. There is also a support group for parents of dyslexic children, with a free event every 3rd Thursday of the month ( 7.30pm) at the centre, which is an opportunity to get advice and support - no booking needed, but please contact the centre for more details. We also have an adult centre, known as the Karten Ctec Centre.
