Leeds Photographic Society

Organisation Aims and Activities: Leeds Photographic Society is a user friendly group of people of all ages with a common interest in photography at all levels, from freelance semi-professional to the happy snapper; all are given the same open and friendly welcome. Our membership comprises active photographers, casual picture takers and some who just like to see other people's pictures and generally socialise. We meet every Tuesday at St Edmunds Church Hall, Lidgett Park Road, Roundhay, Leeds, where we are entertained by visiting lecturers and our own members with a variety of talks and demonstrations ranging from practical techniques to holiday travelogues. We also hold photographic competitions where visiting judges will critique our work generally in a friendly and gentle manner. Two major events each year are the Annual Dinner, normally held around the Christmas festive season, and the Annual Exhibition, a public exhibition of our members work which this year will be staged at the Leeds Central Library.
