Saint Michael's Hospice
Organisation Aims and Activities: Saint Michael's exists to ensure local people get the end of life care they want and need. We beleive everyone in Harrogate, Ripon, Knaresborough, Wetherby, Pateley Bridge and the surrounding areas should be offered the choice of quality end of life care regardless of the illness they are living with or the place from which they are receiving care. We offer inpatient care, day therapy, planned respite care, lymphoedema support, specialist home care, palliative care education and bereavement support. We make no charge for our specialist services. They are delivered by a team of staff and volunteers who place great emphasis on choice, dignity, respect, compassion and empowerment. The majority of our costs must be funded through the local community and our own fundraising initiatives. Saint Michael's has eight charity shops, including one in Otley at 22 Market Place, LS21 3AQ.
