Supporting Others Through Volunteer Action (ISB Bail Support Scheme)

Organisation Aims and Activities: SOVA volunteer's mentor adult defendants as part of a structured bail support scheme, providing practical support in the local community to assist in their compliance with the scheme. SOVA volunteers can help defendants with various tasks, including attending appointments and court, accessing training, education or employment, sorting finances and other practical and emotional support. Volunteers can volunteer at times most convenient to them, but are expected to offer a minimum of 2 hours commitment per week. Mentoring takes place within Leeds.
