Organisation Aims and Activities: Growing Better is a social enterprise dedicated to better mental health through growing edible produce. Our urban farm sites provide a therapeutic environment for people facing a range of mental health challenges. There's lots of evidence for the benefits that growing produce can provide for better mental health. To ensure that we remain a sustainable social enterprise we sell the beautiful salad leaves and herbs that our service users grow on our farm to restaurants, cafes, food retailers and caterers, and direct to the public via group salad share schemes. We are additionally developing a range of products based on our core produce including pesto, oil infusions, window ledge/table planters and seed packets.
