Leeds Children’s Circus is a registered charity, based in Harehills/ Chapeltown. We run regular classes, workshops and special events. Circus is an amazing activity that brings people and communities together; we work with children, families and adults across cultures and abilities and see huge potential to grow our work over the next few months and years.
We’ve just been awarded National Lottery Community Funding, enabling us to develop our activities and create a Big Show in 2020, celebrating our 30th birthday. We're ambitious and excited about our future and the future possibilities for working with artists, arts organisations, communities and other partners.
We now need new Volunteers, Trustees and Circus Artists to help us grow the organisation so we can create more brilliant circus opportunities, build partnerships, explore future funding and reach more people.
Trustees will volunteer one or two days a month for Board meetings and other support. We particularly need people with knowledge or skills in circus/performing arts, financial management and community engagement.
