Anchor - Larchfield Care Home

Larchfield is a residential care home that supports older people with enduring mental health needs. Larchfield has 40 en-suite rooms available and provides 24 hour care and support to people mostly over the age of 50. Larchfield care for people with a whole range of mental issues, whether with or without learning disabilities and provide support where for some reason independent living is no longer providing the required care and support to meet a person?s needs. Short term interim care such as re-ablement and resettlement following hospital discharge, as well as respite care, is also available.

Apple Box Company

Apple Box is a small but innovative, not-for-profit social enterprise which believes in giving ordinary people the chance to express their views, find their creativity and get more involved in their locality. Apple Box projects are empowering and enabling, putting participants at the heart of what we do. We give people opportunities to experience and develop new transferable skills in ways that are fun and accessible.

Armley Common Right Trust

Armley Common Right Trust aims to provide enjoyment of the green open spaces, 20+ acres in all, for the residents of Armley. Meetings are held twice yearly, plus more if required (see comments in opening hours). Open-Days/Working Days are held last year. Two Parks - Charlie Cake and Wortley 'Moor Top' (junction of Armley Town Street, Wortley Road and Ridge Road). Armley Moor - Used for Armley Feast, Armley FunDay, etc, and as a recreational open space with extensive views (includes land on Theaker Lane adjacent to Christ Church School). Hill Top Moor - at top of Whingate opposite Travellers Rest Public House, Ley Lane - land leased to Council on 99 year lease.

Armley Counselling Service

Counselling service covering all aspects of counselling, including bereavement, anxiety, stress, depression, relationships, and anger management.

Armley Juniors Project

Armley Juniors' aims to divert young people from falling into anti social and or criminal activities by involving them in positive and supportive activities. A wide of range activities including creative arts, sports and residential experiences are available for 11-19yrs. Armley Juniors' aims to provide a safe environment for young people to learn new skills. We support young people to build up their self-esteem and confidence to such a level, that they will be able to enter into further learning and self-development opportunities, including employment. All opportunities are available to individuals and or small groups.

Armley Tennis Club

Summer and winter tennis on offer with four outdoor courts made of tarmac and an indoor court with an acrylic surface. There are flood lights on two of the outdoor courts. Table tennis is available in the clubhouse. The clubhouse also has showers, kitchen and a comfortable seating area. Coaching is available. Reasonable membership fees. Everyone is welcome.

Artsmix Leeds Limited

Artsmix, formerly known as Mosaic, supports and helps with the development of emerging artists and crafts people in Leeds and surrounding areas. We provide many opportunities for artists to sell and promote their work through art/craft markets, events and exhibitions. Artsmix also have fantastic 'pay as you use' workshop facilities fully equiped with wood working, jewellery making, and screen printing equipment.

Artz Academy

Artz Academy was established in 2004 and offers creative arts and english language arts classes and workshops to schools, youth centres, hospitals, addiction clinics, young offenders institutions and anywhere art can be used therapeutically and educationally. Artz Academy facilitates and teaches in the community. Gabrielle spiegel is an innovative creative english teacher offering help to young people and adults of all abilities in a variety of settings. We can visit your premises or organise a workshop with ourselves. All ages and abilities welcome. Specialises in Big Art: murals, graffiti and urban arts and crafts and curriculum based art workshops. ASHA Neighbourhood Project

The Asha Neighbourhood Project is for all women in South Leeds with language, childcare and cultural needs. We aim to create links between mainstream services and the community to overcome barriers to access and to increase their awareness of their rights and opportunities. Activities include: Classes (ESOL, numeracy,IT,Fashion and design), Health Project, Advice service, carers support, Intensive Family Support, playschemes, Baby Clinic and the provision of a Creche.

Asian Women Carers Group

Our group is called Asian Women Carers Group. The groups are called Koshish meaning to try for yourself and Himmat meaning courage. These groups run every Tuesday and Wednesday 10.00am - 12.00 noon. They are specifically for Asian women who care for special needs relatives.

Registered charity established to: Provide support to mothers suffering from post-natal illness; Increase public awareness of the illness; To encourage research into its cause and nature.

Association of Breastfeeding Mothers

Our counselling helpline is run by fully trained volunteer breastfeeding counsellors taking calls in their own homes. All our volunteers have breastfed their own baby and completed extensive training in breastfeeding matters.

Association of Wrens - Leeds and District Branch

The Association of Wrens aims to continue the bonds of friendship amongst ex-Wrens. Only ex-service or serving Wrens can become members.

Autism Angels- working with parents and professionals to improve the lives of children on the Autism Spectrum.

Autism Plus Charity Shop

Autism Plus is a charity that offers support for people with autism, learning disabilities and mental health conditions. Their aim is to help people achieve their wishes and aspirations and improve their quality of life. Whether it?s living in their own home, learning new skills, finding a job or making friends they support each person to live their life the way they want to. Their services include residential, supported living, adult learning, domiciliary, adult education and community support.
