Cardigan Centre

The Centre works with local residents to provide services which further the aims of learning, education, social welfare, leisure, recreation and otherwise contribute to wellbeing. We are a locally based, multi-purpose community organisation in North West Leeds with over twenty years? experience of community work and service delivery.

Cardinal Community Enterprise Project

We offer computers, internet, music, pool, table tennis, air hockey, table football, 'chill out' room, arts and crafts and more depending on staff attending and what the young people want to do. We offer advice on all issues affecting young people and give career advice, we have a project campaign 'TAG's teens against guns and knives', soon to have a sex education programme ' STIGMA' sexually transmitted infections gained mainly anonymously and have different agencies and organisations working with us for a better future for all young people. All staff are CRB checked and 3 are highly qualified. We have exceptionally good working relations with our local neighbourhood policing team and regularly have visits from our PCSO's, Insp, Sgt and Police Officers for a chat and a cuppa. We have rules & punishments our young people set themselves and will soon be expanding to offer more once we have funding in.

Cardinal Court Tenants' Association

Offers sheltered housing for the elderly (60 and older). Staffed by Social Services. The Tenants' Association offers representation for its members, a programme of accessible activities and events, trips, advice and information, and fundraising.

Care & Repair Leeds

The Home Improvement Agency for Leeds, providing a wide range of services to help older people, disabled people and people on low incomes to live in safe, warm, secure, well maintained and adapted homes. CARE Centre For Enterprise (CFE)

To provide advocacy services to BME communities (especially, but not exclusively, African women) living in Leeds - including immigration advice to assist them integrate well in the UK.

Carers Leeds

Carers Leeds aims to support all unpaid carers in Leeds by providing information, advice, social and emotional support. Carers Leeds offers one-to-one support in the carer?s home or in the city centre offices. Group support is available as well as a BME support worker and a worker for carers aged 18-30. Specific areas of support include: people affected by another person?s drug or alcohol use, carers of people with dementia, family and friends of wounded service personnel. Workers can also contact Carers Leeds for information and advice on carers? issues.

Caring For Life

Caring For Life is a Christian charity which provides long-term, comprehensive support for vulnerable adults through supported homes for those with high support needs, housing support in the community and a range of therapeutic daytime activity projects.

Carlshead Care Farm

Carlshead Care Farm is a not-for-profit organisation based on a 500 acre working farm in Lower Wharfedale combining the care of the land and animals with the care of people and offering the opportunity for disadvantaged people to do meaningful work on the farm in a supportive, therapeutic environment. Here are some of the activities you may want to get involved in at Carlshead Care Farm: Feeding, cleaning, handling and checking farm animals; Growing and caring for vegetables and plants in our beautiful walled garden; Processing produce such as apple juicing, baking and jam making; Beekeeping and honey processing; WIldlife and conservation walks; Coppicing and green woodworking in our woods; Bushcraft and wild food foraging; Art, sculpture and music; Fishing.

Carplus

Carplus is the national charity promoting a rethink in car use which works independently and in partnership to reduce over-dependency on private cars by promoting accessible, affordable and low-carbon alternatives. Promoting and supporting the development of car clubs and car sharing schemes, Carplus provides a range of resources and services for members of the public, local authorities, property developers, businesses and the media.

CATCH Leeds

Our goal is to interact with adults and young people from all backgrounds, to offer them choices that they don?t currently have, to show them positive alternatives and to work with several other groups and agencies in Leeds to help improve their lives and their futures. We also aim to provide facilities, for recreation, education and leisure time occupation, with the object of improving the conditions of the life for all people.

Catholic Care

A range of services for adults, children and families including: ? supported housing projects for adults with mental ill health ? residential homes and supported living projects for adults with learning disabilities ? children?s residential homes ? school and family social work team ? community based project for older people.

Catholic Marriage Care

Free, confidential counselling service for individuals and couples from fully-trained counsellors for all relationship problems. Marriage preparation courses and individual sessions.

Catholic Medical Association (U.K.) - Leeds Diocese Branch

The Catholic Medical Association provides support for Catholic doctors, dentists, members of other professions allied to medicine, and students of these professions. The Leeds Diocese Branch is the local branch of a national organisation - please refer to the website.

Cats Protection - Gildersome Homing Centre

Volunteers needed to help out in the charity shop. Our shop in Otley would love to hear from you if you are able to volunteer and help us in our shop in the centre of town. In particular we are seeking volunteers to help with sorting, steaming and labeling stock. We are also looking for people to help operate the till, serve customers, arrange stock in the shop and generally help us making it look tidy and clean. Great experience in a retail environment. We would love to hear from you! We are friendly and welcoming! Cats Protection is the UK?s leading feline welfare charity. Our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs. Our primary services are: Homing - finding good homes for cats; Neutering - supporting and encouraging the neutering of cats; Information - improving people's understanding of cats and their care.

Central Methodist Church - Horsforth

Central Methodist Church describes itself as 'Horsforth's Village Chapel' and carries out the usual range of church activities. It is the base for the Live at Home Scheme which is a charity working with Horsforth's elderly people. Women's Fellowship meets Wednesday afternoons 2.00pm. Central Yorkshire County Scout Council

The aim of the Scout Association is to promote the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. Centre for Health Promotion Research

The Centre for Health Promotion Research (CHPR) is based within the Faculty of Health at Leeds Beckett University and has an excellent track record in obtaining commissions to undertake research, evaluation, training and consultancy and in delivering quality projects on time. . The CHPR has grown to be a centre of excellence, well regarded regionally and nationally by public health practitioners.We share a strong commitment to tackling health inequalities and work closely with public health practitioners, local health agencies and the wider public health community. Recent projects include: -People in Public Health, a national study on approaches to develop and support lay people in public health roles funded through the NIHR SDO programme. -Evaluation of Community Health Information and Links, Leeds - a volunteer scheme based in Women's Health Matters. -Development of an evaluation framework and training workshops for Leeds Childhood Obesity

Charlies Angel Centre

We aim to offer 24 hour support and counselling services for bereaved parents and families and provide befrienders. A 24 hour telephone helpline will be available as well as a drop in cafe. We direct people to services that we think are appropriate for them if we cannot provide it and offer leaflets and booklets with advice/services available. We provide a safe environment for bereaved families to meet other families to give each other support and friendship. Offer activities for adults and children to participate in e.g. relaxation classes. Fundraising events will be held throughout the year to help fund the centre.
