10th Leeds Brownies and Rainbows

Going out to different places, crafts, holidays with the unit, getting the girls to find out about different things. Exciting new Rainbow programme in operation. We speak English and are mainly Christian but will take any religion or faith.

1st Pudsey Scout Group

The purpose of Scouting is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potentials, as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of their local, national and international communities. To provide scouting in the area of Pudsey for youth members from the age of 6 - 14 both male and female

9th Roundhay Methodist Cubs

There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout such as swimming, music, exploring, computing, and collecting. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform. Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities. For more information please contact Morris Smith. 9th Roundhay Methodist Scouts

Roundhay Methodist Church has been sponsoring a scout group for 75 years with the aim of providing fun and friendship on a multi-faith and multi-cultural basis, albeit in a Christian setting, for young people and offers appropriate challenges and new experiences. The Scout Section is for young people, usually aged between 10 and 14 years. A young person can come in to the Troop at 10 and may stay until they are 15 years old. The Scout Troop is the third and final Section in the Scout Group. Being outdoors is important and half the Programme is given over to taking part in both the traditional Scouting skills, such as camping, survival and cooking as well as the wide range of adventurous activities, anything from abseiling to yachting. Beavers 6 - 7 years. Cubs 8 - 10.5 years. Scouts 10.5 - 14.5 years. Please contact Morris Smith for more information. Costs ?22 each school term.

Action for Children - Adoption and Permanency North

Action for Children is a voluntary adoption agency, which seeks to recruit, train and assess prospective adopters from a wide variety of backgrounds. We recruit adopters for children of all ages whether they are single children, sibling groups or children with disabilities and medical difficulties. We are looking for people from a range of ethnicities particularly Black, Asian or mixed heritage backgrounds. Adopters can be single, in a partnership, LGBT or heterosexual, experienced parents or childless. A good understanding of the needs of children is vital. In return, Action for Children offers appropriate training and support.

Action For Children - Community Living Project

National charity providing services for children, young people and families throughout the United Kingdom. Most services are provided through contracts with local authorities and PCTs, often in partnership with other organisations and service providers. Action for Children also raises funds and undertakes research and campaigning work.

Action for Gipton Elderly

Aims include: to identify vulnerable elderly people of Gipton; to provide advice and assistance to support their independent living within the community; to combat fears of loneliness and lack of social contact; and to raise awareness of the problems faced by older people in Gipton.

Adel Art Group

Adel Art Group is a painting group with a tutor, focusing mainly on watercolour painting. There is also some mixed media. Pastel has become very popular recently. Prospective members are invited to spend an evening with us, free of charge, to see for themselves the suitability of our group to their needs

Adel Neighbourhood Forum

The purpose of the Forum is to give a renewed sense of ownership to the Adel Community on land development issues in order to ensure that local people have a strong influence over the future use, location, character and mix of future developments.

Adel Players Dramatic Society

Adel Players Dramatic Society produces three full length plays a year (no musicals or pantomimes) and occasional murder mystery events. The society also organizes theatre trips, occasional social evenings and has a monthly programme of ?Green Room? activities ? eg rehearsed and unrehearsed play readings, improvisation evenings, and skills workshops.

Age UK Leeds - Mental Health Hospital Aftercare Service

Support to people with mental health needs over 65 following discharge from hospital. This is a free service offering packages of information and advice, support to access benefits and other services, and social rehabilitation. The aim of the service is to enable you to regain confidence and to pick up where you left off in your lives prior to admission in hospital.
