Trade Injustice and Debt Action Leeds (TIDAL) We work to coordinate, support and grow the global justice movement in Leeds. Through supporting political mobilisation on issues such as international trade justice, peak oil and climate change, we aim to ensure Leeds punches its weight as an active global citizen.

Tramway Museum Society Members of the Tramway Museum Society are welcome at the monthly meetings of the Light Rail Transit Association on the second Friday of each month at Leeds Civic Hall, LS1 1UR. Trinity Church - Rawdon We are a United Christian Church - an ecumenical partnership between Baptists, Methodists, and the United Reformed Church. Triratna Leeds Buddhist Centre Triratna Leeds Buddhist Centre offers courses and support for people interested in mindfulness, meditation and Buddhism, for all levels of experience. We aim to give people a chance to explore their interest in a non-judgmental and friendly atmosphere. We run a regular program of beginners' classes, as well as regular classes to help people establish a meditation practice and learn more about Buddhism. We hold day retreats and residential weekend retreats. We also have a program of secular (non-Buddhist) mindfulness courses for people experiencing pain, illness and stress. The centre is affiliated to the Triratna Buddhist Community which is an international Buddhist movement founded in 1967.
Turning Lives Around Time limited supported housing and community support services, plus a drop in service for people who are struggling to cope with a wide range of issues that include mental health, learning disabilities, drug and alcohol misuse, offending and domestic violence. The ultimate aim is for people to move into independent accommodation and become socially included.
Turning Lives Around - Carr Beck (Formerly Leeds Housing Concern Carr Beck) Carr Beck is a 'wet hostel' service that provides accommodation and support for women age 16 and over who choose to continue to drink. The aims of the service are: ?To support women dependent drinkers with individual packages of care and support. ?To enable our clients to regain independence, self-esteem and dignity.
Turning Lives Around - Flagship North East (Formerly Leeds Housing Concern Flagship North East) offers supported housing in the Chapeltown and Harehills area to single homeless young people aged 16-25 years.
Turning Lives Around - Flagship South (Formerly Leeds Housing Concern Flagship South) provides fully furnished single bed acommodation and shared housing in one and two bedroomed houses mostly located in the Beeston, Hunslet and Holbeck area of Leeds for young people aged between 16-25.
Turning Lives Around - Seacole Scheme (Formerly Leeds Housing Concern Seacole Scheme) Accommodation for single homeless young people with varying and multiple needs, in a supportive, healthy and safe environment. It offers young people the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to live successfully in their own independent accommodatin within 6 months.

United Reformed Church in South Leeds The Church provides worship on Sundays and there are various activities during the week.The URC in South Leeds has two sites: Belle Isle (as above) and Oakley View, Dewsbury Road, LS11 5HR, Telephone: 0113 270 3935. Baptisms, weddings and funerals can be arranged. The church, through its Charity company, operates a Centre at each site called Trinity Network which offers social opportunities for older people. At Belle Isle there is a coffee morning on the 2nd Saturday of the month, which offers a social occasion for those suffering from dementia and their carers. There is also a Community Cafe at Belle Isle held on the 3rd Saturday of each month, which offers an opportunity for socialising to members of the public. At Dewsbury Road there is Charity Shop operating on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. Guides and Scouts meet on Thursday and Friday evenings respectively each week at Belle Isle.

University of Leeds - Access and Community Engagement If your organisation needs student volunteers then contact us to set up your organisation on the database and we can recruit young volunteers for various roles. We are part of the Vinvolved Leeds team, and therefore have funding to place volunteers aged 16 - 25.
University of the Third Age (Leeds U3A) The University of the Third Age is a self-help organisation for people no longer in full time employment providing educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment. It consists of local U3As all over the UK, which are charities in their own right and are run entirely by volunteers. Local U3As are learning cooperatives which draw upon the knowledge, experience and skills of their own members to organise and provide interest groups in accordance with the wishes of the membership. "The teachers learn and the learners teach." Between them U3As offer the chance to study over 300 different subjects in such fields as art, languages, music, history, life sciences, philosophy, computing, crafts, photography and walking.

Victorian Society - West Yorkshire Group Casework committee meets monthly to discuss planning applications involving Victorian and Edwardian buildings in Leeds. Monthly programme of visits to places of interest in Leeds and elswhere.
Visually Impaired Social Club Meet socially every 2nd and 4th Tuesday currently 6pm in the Merchant outside Merrion Centre. We go on various outings to the theatre, walks, coast, museums, barge or other types of outings as agreed by members. We are a self help group and as such our main objectives are to agree on what we can do to befriend each other
VOLITION Volition is an alliance of voluntary sector organisations that either provide mental health services for or work with people who have mental health needs in Leeds. Volition exists to: * promote the contribution of the voluntary sector in strategic planning and development of services; * encourage co-operation and partnership between agencies and across sectors; * inform and resource voluntary sector organisations to enable them to better meet the mental health needs of the people using their services. Volition has over 90 members from all areas of the voluntary sector providing services to people in Leeds. Members include agencies that directly provide mental health services as well as those who have an interest in mental health.

Wave Mums We're a volunteer-run group offering peer support for all mums experiencing mental health difficulties. Our fortnightly stay-and-play session gives mums a space to come for a cuppa, space for babies/children to play, and space for them to talk freely. By encouraging openness and honesty, we aim to facilitate friendships and support to help women navigate parenthood.
WEC International Working together with the UK Christian Church in order to communicate the Christian Gospel to those who have yet to hear it
Wednesday Afternoon Group Luncheon club, mainly for the older folk although we also cater for people with a handicap. We are run by volunteers. Lunches are cooked on the premises and consist of a main meal and a pudding, followed by entertainment,domino's, videos and speakers now and then. this is every other week and we keep the price as low as possible because this is looked on by the church as an outreach organisation, we don't pay rent for the room but we do insist on giving a donation every month towards the gas and electricity. We have fourty members and they are brought to the hall by the community bus.
Wellington Hill Residents' Association The objectives of the Association are to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the Wellington Hill area of Leeds and the neighbourhood, and to provide facilities in the interest of social welfare for recreation and leisure activities to members, for example Drama group, Junior Showgroup, Playgroup, Aikido, Art, Bridge, Camera group, Sequence Dancing, Scottish Dancing, Rambling. To maintain and manage the Community Centre in furtherance of these objectives. To carry out the above within the guidelines set out in the constitution.

West Indian Family Counselling Service WIFCOS respond to the needs of the Caribbean community and other black and ethnic minority people in Leeds 7, 8 and 9. The Project is part of the mission of Roscoe Methodist Church to work for justice and wholeness for all, addressing some of the persistent problems people face e.g. loneliness, coping with health issues, personal and family stresses,continuing unemployment and racism. This is achieved through a Lunch Club that meets Tuesdays and Thursdays and a confidential support and Counselling for individuals and families.

West Yorkshire Community Chaplaincy Proje WYCCP is a resettlement organisation which aims to reduce re-offending and contribute to building safer and stronger communities in Leeds and across West Yorkshire. A ?through the gate? project; we work with offenders inside the prison, post release and their families. Staff and volunteers provide practical support and encouragement to men to help them cope with life in the community and break the cycle of re-offending.
