Pudsey Voluntary Services Pudsey House is a community center run by Pudsey Voluntary services. It is home to a wide range of activities provided by members of the public, charity organisations, community groups and the voluntary sector. The aim is to provide a quality environment where people can enjoy activities, meet new people and have a sense of involvement in our community. We would like to encourage more people to become involved in the Pudsey Voluntary Services, to put forward their ideas, be pro-active in keeping Pudsey House the hub of our town center, help keep it accessible to all, to make a di?erence for others in our local community and much more. Purple Patch Arts
Pyramid of Arts Pyramid of Arts is a collective of artists with and without learning disabilities who work together to explore and develop their creativity and to make great art for a wide audience. We currently deliver weekly collaborative art groups for people of all levels of ability in all art forms including visual art, movement, music and singing. We also work one to one with artists with learning disabilities to develop their practice and support them in writing funding applications.
Radio Asian Fever CIC (Fever FM) i) To establish and provide a Community Radio for the South Asian Community of Leeds, broadcasting in the various community languages (Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Kashmiri dialects) and English. (ii) To provide an accessible alternative media, and a voice for those who are under-represented or excluded. (iii) To inform, educate and entertain the South Asian Community by developing, producing, broadcasting appropriate and relevant programmes and publishing community news letter and website. (iv) To provide training opportunities in all aspects of Radio Broadcasting for local radio enthusiasts, volunteers and members of the Community. (v) To empower the South Asian Community, especially young people, women and the elderly through the promotion of health, education, training and employment opportunities. (vi) To promote equal access to amenities, services and service providers through broadcasts and non broadcast activities. (vii) To work with the wider communities, faiths and cultures to develop and promote activities that facilitate community cohesion and positive interaction. (viii) To provide the above services to the members of the community free of charge.

Ratnasambhava Kadampa Buddhist Centre We hold weekly meditation classes in Leeds (Tuesday and Thursday evenings) and the surrounding area: Boston Spa (Wednesday evenings), Harrogate (Tuesday evenings) and Pontefract (Wednesday evenings). Reading Matters Reading Matters recruit, train, place and support volunteers in schools to help children with reading. Across Leeds, Bradford, Kirklees and Sheffield, volunteers go into a local school twice a week for one hour each time, with a commitment of three terms. We provide ongoing support, opportunities to meet other volunteers and regular training.

Relatives and Residents Association - Leeds branch The Association's purpose is to help residents and their relatives and friends to work with Homes to ensure the highest possible quality of life for all older residents. It is a registered charity which was established in 1992 as a UK-wide organisation of older people in long-term residential care and their relatives and friends. The Leeds branch holds meetings at a central location every two months and offers support to local members and anyone concerned about residential care.
Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) - Adel Meeting Adel has about 70 members and attenders plus children who meet together in silent worship, sharing challenging ministry and the joyful contribution of the children. Set among mature trees and a woodland garden, the meeting house is situated 200 metres from the Otley Road, and is conveniently placed for public transport.

Remap (Rehabilitation Engineering Movement Advisory Panels) - Leeds & Bradford Panel REMAP is a national charitable organisation with over 100 panels (groups) spread throughout the United Kingdom whose objective is to improve the lifestyle of the disabled and their carers by designing and supplying specialised equipment that is not available from commercial or other sources. Our products range from essential daily needs to those that enhance the recreational activities of our clients. We utilise the voluntary services of some 1,500 professional engineers, technicians and craftspeople nationwide. The products we make are supplied free of charge to the clients and our funding relies entirely on voluntary donations. Our members have extensive experience in a wide range of disciplines and skills. Their technical expertise is supported by input from the medical, healthcare and welfare professions when required.

Revive Leeds Revive Leeds is a Community Interest Company, with two-member charities: SVP who work to alleviate poverty and SLATE a charity that supports people with learning disabilities. We run the Re-Use shops at Seacroft and Kirkstall Recycling Sites where we sell good quality unwanted furniture electrical goods, clothes, books, bric-a-brac and other household items at affordable prices. Also, we offer volunteering opportunities, work experience placements and placements for offenders on community Payback orders Profits are shared equally between our member charities supporting local people.
Right Choices Project Aims to improve the independence and well-being of learning disabled people and people with mental health issues. For an annual fee of ?50 Right Choices provide a range of services including job club and group work.
Rising Notes Project We are an intergenerational, cultural, spiritual, creative, arts group offering workshops on the arts, identity and spirituality. Our projects work with the age range 8 - 80 for dance, mime, and poetry writing. We work with young people who are excluded from school. We also supplement and extend school, and community activities. We are now working with 'The Trunk', a concept that archives the work of our individual and group communities to keep a rercord for future generations of recorded words, thoughts and deeds, plus artefacts and other precious materials that can be accessed in schools, in museums, and the communities.
RJC Dance Productions To consolidate, promote, contribute and work in partnership to develop the diversity of Black British dance as a valued artform. To recognise, develop and celebrate the potential of young people and adults as dancers and creative practitioners. To encourage the progression of young people to higher level learning in dance, to paid employment and as positive role models and leaders in the community to increase capacity usage in a high quality dance environment of the Mandela Centre by young people, the surrounding community, professional dance sector and other organisations.
Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre Information and supportive services for people affected by cancer; this includes patients, their carers, family and friends. Services include; Information lounges within the hospital. Complementary therapies to aid relaxation and promote feelings of general well being. One to one support, counselling. Support groups and cancer support courses. There is a hair loss support service for people who lose their hair due to cancer treatments including hair care, wig fitting, hats and scarves.

Rodillian Singers The Rodillian Singers is a female choir based in the Wakefield/Leeds area of West Yorkshire. Rothwell and District Garden and Allotment Association We provide allotments for people in Methley, Carlton, Lofthouse, Rothwell, Woodlesford. We also have a garden shop on Wood Lane, Rothwell, LS26 0WN, next to the allotments, selling compost, fertilizer, canes, lime and much more. Shop open 11am - 12.00pm every Sunday from February to July (except Bank Holidays), and every second Sunday in the month from August until January.
Rothwell and District Historical Society The society helps preserve, record and research the villages' rich and diverse history. We are committed to publishing research papers, books and articles on a regular basis through RDHS press, the society's publishing arm. The society meets the second Friday in every month in Rothwell Methodist Hall at 7.30pm. We provide a guest speaker every month. There is a membership fee of ?10 for employed, ?8 pensioners and unemployed, under 16s free, visitors are welcome (fee ?1).
