Rothwell Squash Club Rothwell Squash Club has a range of facilities which include 3 squash courts, a gymnasium, saunas, a bar and a sun-bed. These facilities allow all types of squash to be played, including mens, ladies, veterans, junior squash leagues, as well as having a golf section, running club and organising social events. The club facilities are available for use between the hours of 8.30am and 11.00pm.
Rothwell Tenants' and Residents' Association Meetings held every first Wednesday of the month, except August and December, where discussions include: police matters; street lighting; refuse collection; bus services - or any personal complaints re: housing, noise and nuisance. Meetings alternate between Haigh Road Community Centre, and Royds Court Community Centre at 7.00pm. Attended by local housing officers and a Rothwell councillor - police attend duties permitting. . Membership is free. Speakers by invitation. We don't actually recruit, but would welcome any volunteers for our committee.

Roundhay Allotments' and Gardens' Association This is an allotment site owned by Leeds City Council and let to tenants at an annual rent. The site is on Lidgett Park Road, Leeds, LS8. The site is self-managed by RAGA. A sales hut for allotment/garden supplies opens every weekend.

Roundhay Methodist Church A church with a regular and varied programme of worship, study and prayer groups. We have a monthly Messy Church event to which all ages are welcome. The Church also sponsors numerous children's groups e.g. Brownies, Guides, Cubs, Scouts, and Toddlers groups. There is also a Lunch Club for older people and many social groups and activities. Roundhay Planning Forum Roundhay Planning Forum is a group of residents of Roundhay Ward which has the primary objective of producing a Neighbourhood Design Statement (NDS) for the Ward which can be adopted by LCC as a Supplementary Planning Document for the area. Design Statements set out not to resolve individual specific planning problems of residents but rather to set down principles for the guidance of developers and planners. Our NDS will be based on the views of residents, visitors to, and workers in the Ward. Such views will be ascertained at public meetings, workshops and exhibitions. It will provide important guidance for those initiating or deciding on development proposals. Its founding members from Roundhay were united by a feeling that residents would be better able to influence decisions on planning if the good and bad characteristics of their neighbourhoods were collectively agreed by most residents and recognised formally by the LCC.

Royal Air Forces Association The Royal Air Forces Association (or RAF Association), is a membership organisation and registered charity that provides welfare support to the RAF Family. Royal Scottish Country Dance Society (Leeds) The Branch runs and supports classes in Scottish Country and Highland Dancing in the Leeds area, catering for all levels of ability from beginner to advanced. There is also a children's class. It runs regular Scottish Dances with live music, mainly at the West Park Centre, Spen Lane, LS16 5BE. RSPCA Leeds As the RSPCA Leeds, Wakefield and District Branch we are dedicated to rehoming and rehabilitating animals within our local area, doing everything we can for animals that have not had the best start in life. We all work hard to make sure that these animals are given the best care and treatment, so that they can go on to find their forever homes. We are a separately registered branch of the RSPCA and are primarily responsible for raising our own funds locally; we rely heavily on the funds generated by our network of charity shops & tireless fundraising in the community, without which we would be unable to carry on our important animal welfare activities.
Ruth for Women Ruth for Women helps abused women and children brought up in abusive homes in order to raise awareness and empower them. We sign post them to relevant organisations, offer training and support and counselling and advocacy. We also provide motivational speaking in schools.

Saint John Of God Hospitaller Services Terry Yorath House provides accommodation and support for adults with physical disabilities. We also run a respite service and have a community room which we hire to members of the local community.
Saint Michael's Hospice Saint Michael's exists to ensure local people get the end of life care they want and need. We beleive everyone in Harrogate, Ripon, Knaresborough, Wetherby, Pateley Bridge and the surrounding areas should be offered the choice of quality end of life care regardless of the illness they are living with or the place from which they are receiving care. We offer inpatient care, day therapy, planned respite care, lymphoedema support, specialist home care, palliative care education and bereavement support. We make no charge for our specialist services. They are delivered by a team of staff and volunteers who place great emphasis on choice, dignity, respect, compassion and empowerment. The majority of our costs must be funded through the local community and our own fundraising initiatives. Saint Michael's has eight charity shops, including one in Otley at 22 Market Place, LS21 3AQ.

SARSVL, Support After Rape and Sexual Violence Leeds Support After Rape and Sexual Violence Leeds (SARSVL) is an accredited Rape Crisis Centre, providing free, independent and confidential specialist support services to women and girls in Leeds whose lives have been affected by sexual violence and abuse of any kind, at any time. All our services are underpinned by our feminist rationale, which recognises that sexual violence, as a form of violence against women and girls, is both a cause and consequence of gender inequality. We actively tackle sexual violence against women and girls by providing specialist support services, in a women-only safe space, designed to meet the needs of women and girls, by raising awareness and understanding of sexual violence, and by providing specialist training to other agencies. We operate three free and confidential frontline services - Helpline, Advocacy and Counselling.
Saturday People A life drawing and painting group meeting at the Swarthmore Centre on alternate Saturdays, term times (approx 20 times per year). The group work in untutored style, sharing expertise. Members range from 18 - 80 years and come from a diverse variety of backgrounds. The common interest being art and, working from life models, individuals take time to practise and develop their skills at the easel. Saturday People are an unfunded community group who self-finance this activity through subscriptions.
Save Babies Through Screening Foundation UK We are a Patient Advocate and support organisation for families with children affected by Krabbe Leukodystrophy and other Leukodystrophies/rare diseases. We are a Leeds based charity run entirely by volunteers.We offer support, information and advice for UK families caring for children with these disorders. We preserve and protect the health of children suffering from these disorders in the UK, in partular by funding research and promoting the extension of newborn screening.

Assistance in accessing counselling within and outside the organisation (2 qualified counsellors offering free counselling - telephone or one-to-one). Meetings - Last Saturday every other month - Jan, March, etc. at Kirklees Road Safety Unit, Flint St, Fartown, Huddersfield, HD1 6LF: Committee and Trustees at 1.00pm, bereaved and injured at 3.00pm.
Scholes Community Forum The Forum is a non-profit making organisation open to all residents and organisations based in Scholes, where the majority of members are residents.Young people of secondary school age resident in the village are particularly welcome. There is no membership subscription. All meetings will be as informal as possible. Objectives: to promote initiatives which maintain and / or improve the quality of life in Scholes Village and that of its residents. Scholes Methodist Church We are a friendly small village church who welcome everyone to worship. We have a Church Fellowship which meets fortnightly and a Ladies Fellowship which meets on the alternate fortnight. We hold regular monthly Saturday coffee mornings. We have ecumenical links with our Anglican friends at St Philip's Church and have a variety of special services and events. During the year we support several charities.

Script Yorkshire Script Yorkshire is a networking organisation for people who live or work in Yorkshire and write for performance (including stage, radio, TV, on-line and film). We promote the professional development of writers-for-performance by: Raising craft skills via meetings, workshops and showcases; Sharing information via our newsletter, email bulletins and website; Creating links between writers, actors and directors; Joint projects with local theatres. Script Yorkshire is run by volunteers. We have regional branch meetings and are currently holding central meetings at a variety of locations in Leeds city centre, such as the West Yorkshire Playhouse and the Carriageworks Theatre.
