Seven Jazz Leeds Seven Jazz Leeds is the main community jazz promoter in Leeds. We receive funding from Jazz Yorkshire and the PRS foundation to promote high quality and accessible jazz music to audiences in Leeds and Yorkshire and around the UK. Our concerts are every Sunday between 1.30pm and 4.00pm with the best of regional bands, and also on alternate Thursday evenings that feature national and international jazz stars. We also run a number of instrumental workshops for people who want to learn more about playing jazz. Seven Arts Centre has a wide range of drinks and foods in Chapel Allerton, Leeds, close to the city centre with good public transport and free local parking.
Shantona Womens Centre A multi-cultural agency based in the Harehills and Chapletown areas of Leeds (LS7 & LS8), supporting vulnerable women, children and young people and their families to re-establish themselves in the wider community. Services are targeted to identify the root of the problem, to support individuals and families at an early stage so as to pre-empt any escalation. Services include family support, domestic violence, OFSTED registered early years, 2 year olds? provision and mobile cr?che. Shantona works in a way which challenges hidden behaviour and stigma especially where these issues are not in the public arena, and aims to tackle health inequalities.
Shardonnay Twirling Majorettes The troupe opened in May 2002 and has been very successful holding the NMA title of Troupe of the Year 2008 - along with other awards and achievements!. We have around 25-30 members from the age of 5 years and above.
Shatterproof Theatre Company We provide access to the performing arts with a membership that covers a wide range of abilities and disabilities. We can offer our volunteers the opportunity to work with special needs adults, receive training in the planning and delivery of drama workshops and take on key acting roles if they so desire. We pay travel costs. We meet every Monday, school holidays included, 7.30pm to 9.30pm at the Carriageworks Theatre, Millennium Square in the centre of Leeds.

Leeds Housing Support provides a range of services to sensory impaired people to support them to keep their independence and maintain their tenancies or own homes. Support is tailored to the need of the individual and delivered in their preferred language by staff who are fluent in BSL and have a good understanding of Deaf culture.
Signpost Family Intervention Project The Signpost project offers intense one to one support to families with multiple and complex needs. These needs can include: Domestic abuse, drug and alcohol problems, low school attendance, unemployment, poverty, mental/physical health issues, housing problems and anti social behaviour. We aim to work together with families to support and encourage positive, sustainable change. Signpost work with partner agencies including - education, health, police and social care to ensure the families are receiving the appropriate support.

Skelton Grange Environment Centre The Conservation Volunteers charity welcomes people of all ages to learn, volunteer and play in the natural environment at our award winning eco-centre and nature area in Leeds. We offer great educational visits for schools and groups, support people to volunteer in conservation and education, and run lots of training and fun events for kids, adults, teachers and families? join in and feel good! We would love to see you at Skelton Grange - join our Monday and Friday volunteer teams helping to look after the wildlife areas and vegetable gardens, the kids can spend their holidays learning bushcraft skills, and adults can enjoy learning something new in our great course programme too. Smart Aid CIC We connect businesses with small local charities and worthwhile causes so that professionals can help causes they have an affinity to, by using their professional skills and network of contacts. Smart Aid works very closely with each cause from the outset to jointly create an action plan that is totally bespoke to them and their needs. Our bank of volunteers will then work with them to implement the plan.
Smartrisk Foundation - UK Smartrisk works with young people to help them understand the importance of taking smart risks in their lives, so that they can avoid injury, stay safe and live life to the full. In the UK injury is the biggest killer of people under the age of 40. Smartrisk works with young people, in schools, to deliver the groundbreaking roadshow, Smartrisk Heroes.
Social Enterprise Support Centre Ltd The Social Enterprise Support Centre (SESC) acts to: Assist the prevention and relief of poverty through the creation and continuing development of social enterprises; Advance education and lifelong learning through research and investigations into topics relevant to social enterprise and the offering of education and development opportunities; Advance health through the recognition of the role of work in the positive health of individuals; Support social and community advancement through focusing on the creation and continuing development of social enterprise. SESC provides expertise in start up and growth strategies and is an approved provider of the Investment Contract Readiness Fund (ICRF). The ICRF ?10m three-year fund is operated on behalf of the Office for Civil society. The Fund will support social ventures to build their capacity to be able to receive investment and bid for public service contracts. SESC is also funded by the RBS Inspiring Enterprise programme, delivering business start-up workshops to 16-24 year olds.

S I Aireborough currently has projects locally, nationally and internationally, including collecting toiletry bags for a local womens' refuge. We sponsor the secondary education of a girl in the Cape Verde Islands and locally support the Forget-Me-Not cafe for dementia sufferers and their carers, friends of Guiseley Cemetary and Guiseley In Bloom.

South Leeds and Morley Scout District
South Leeds Church of the Nazarene We are about fellowship, worship, evangelism, mission and ministry with an extensive programme of activities throughout the week, including: youth (full time youth worker) and children's activities, housegroups, Sunday services, and ministry to people with problems of addiction via a 6 day structured care programme on the premises. Our activities are open to all; church services on a Sunday 10.30am, and 6.00pm, housegroups on Mondayday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. A Wednesday fellowship at 2.00pm (generally over 60's) and a youth group on a Wednesday at 7.30pm. New Hope which provides services to people with problems of addiction meet on a Sunday at 1.00pm, Mondayday - Friday 10.00am - 3.00pm, and Thursday at 7.00pm. Various other social events take place as announced.
South Leeds Live At Home Scheme Help and support for older people including: befriending, social groups, shopping trips, lunch clubs, exercise classes, outings, information and advice. We support and help people of 55 years and older to live in their own homes as long as possible. We cover the areas of South Leeds and surrounding areas.

Spacious Places Day Treatment Centre for recovering alcoholics and drug addicts. We ae total abstinence based and model our program around the 12 steps. Our Main program can accommodate 24 clients (there is usually a waiting list - to get onto this program you need to have a personal assessment (ring us to make an appointment). The main program is 3 hours per day (midday until 3pm) and 5 days per week (Mon to Fri) for 12 months. We have a Tuesday & Thursday morning program called GOING PLACES and this is accessible to addicts who are on a reducing prescription as well as those not on prescriptions. We also run GROWING ROOMS which is presently held at a DRY hostel Our aim is simply to give struggling clients the "tools of recovery" to allow them to deal with the problems of life without resorting to substances.
Speak with IT/ Aphasia Support Our mission is to improve the wellbeing of people with aphasia and their carers, by providing tailored speech and language therapy and long term support. We want to create a world where every person with aphasia has access to support.

We have 5 key aims

To reduce isolation of people with aphasia
To improve the communication skills and wellbeing of people with aphasia
To raise awareness and understanding of aphasia
To improve the knowledge, skills and confidence of carers and volunteers in providing support to people with aphasia
To supplement NHS services by providing long term support for people with aphasia

We provide one to one support for people with aphasia in the home and over zoom and also group support though App clubs and Aphasia Cafes which are held in community venues.
Specialism Autism Service Purpose - Specialist Autism Services (formerly known as Sacar) has worked exclusively for and with adults (18+) on the autism spectrum and their families since 1999. We are a non-profit organisation that works with the charity Sacar out of premises across the Yorkshire region. We now provide a range of services including autism-specific counselling, employment support, group social skills workshops (through an autism-specific learning programme), autism awareness training and community outreach support. Under the name Autism First we also provide bespoke support for adults with autism and additional needs. We aim to make a positive difference to the lives of our service users (members) and through person-centred support we create opportunities for people to work towards their personal goals, build confidence, develop social skills, increase independence and ultimately fulfil their potential.
Spen Lane and West Park Residents' Association A local residents association concerned with preserving the character of West Park. As such it responds to resident's concerns over local issues such as the preservation of West Park Fields, planning applications, transport issues and any other local problems which affect the quality of life for West Park residents. There are over 200 households registered as members and a keen committee of 9 local residents. A website has been established and newsletters are circulated every two or three months.
Spider-Y Spider-y enables those people in the community who cannot take part in able bodied sports to take part in wheelchair sports and to enjoy participating in sport locally, nationally and internationally. Spider-y also exists to promote understanding of the difficulties encountered by those who are disabled. We promote community participation in healthy recreation, in particular by the provision of facilities for playing of any sport capable of improving health. For example we set up sports clubs for the disabled and their friends and relatives. We are the city?s largest independent, multi-sport organisation providing opportunities for able-bodied and disabled sports men and women, from the age of 8 to 50. Currently we provide support for wheelchair Basketball, Rugby League and Handball by encouraging people to play competitively. We also have an active schools programme where we visit schools across Leeds to raise awareness about disability sport.
Spirals Women's Group A group for women who are experiencing mental health issues. We meet for support and have sessional workers coming in to explore different ways of coping with stress and depression.
Sports Aid - Yorkshire and Humberside Sports Aid raises funds and administers grants to talented young and disabled sportsmen and women. All applications made to sportsaid must be submitted by the relevant governing body of the sport concerned.

SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association) Provision of lifelong support to those who are serving or have ever served in our Armed Forces. Today nearly five million people living in the United Kingdom are estimated to have served in the Armed Forces at some point in their lives. Every year, around 20,000 servicemen and women leave the services and return to civilian life.

St Aidan's Church - Harehills St Aidan's is a thriving church community with regular events taking place in the parish area with a variety of different clubs and societies such as; The Friends of St Aidans, The Elford Place Youth Club, Mothers Union, a children's Sunday School, and St Aidans Choir. We are a church where people of many different backgrounds, cultures and languages seek to live out the gospel of love and reconciliation by serving the local community, especially those living on the margins of society. Every Sunday at our 10am Parish Mass, we offer warm, open Anglo-Catholic liturgy supported by the choir, full lay participation and contributions from our young people and children. We are one of a very few parishes in the Church of England where Mass is celebrated daily.

St Anne's Community Services - Dual Diagnosis Project Leeds Dual Diagnosis Project aims to improve access to treatment and outcomes for people who experience co-existing drug / alcohol use and mental health disorders. It is a multi-agency network developed to ensure that services that come into contact with this client group are readily able to assess, engage and to co-ordinate care effectively. The partnership includes professionals from a range of mental health and drug & alcohol services who have a shared vision of collaborative and integrated treatment. The Leeds Dual Diagnosis Project facilitates a variety of working groups and forums to achieve its aims.
