Community Links

Client focused mental health services which value diversity, instil hope and improve quality of life through recovery. The wide range of services includes support at home, hostels, residential care, resettlement services, early intervention in psychosis, psychological therapies, aftercare for people using drugs and alcohol. They are also part of the Personality Disorder Clinical Network. Community Links provides training on mental health and related issues, including Mental Health First Aid and Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training. Community Links is the lead partner in Positive Pathways, a consortium to providing housing support across Leeds for people with mental health needs. The service will provide a single point of access for all mental health housing support referrals. We also have a Hub for younger people with Dementia running a day service in the hub and community.

Community Links - Alexander House

Alexander House is a hostel in North Leeds providing short stay support and housing to clients leaving ward 5 of the Becklin Centre. There are six places for women and men between the ages of 18 and 64 years. The longest time anyone can stay is eight months.

Community Links - aspire

aspire is a specialist service for people aged 14-35 in Leeds experciencing first episode psychosis. We are a diverse, community-based team of care co-ordinators, support workers, employment worker, therapists, psychiatrists and clinical psychologists. Our volunteers support social recover group work such as our football, women's and walking groups. Volunteers can also provide additional 1-to-1 support for clients who want to work towards a personal goal.

Brigid House is a hostel in Crossgates, Leeds, providing short stay support and housing to clients leaving wards 5 and 6 of the Newsam Centre. There are six places for both women and men. The longest anyone stay is eight months.

Community Links - Connect Well

Our aim is to connect people to services and activities in their community in order to benefit overall health and wellbeing. We believe that everyone can live a fulfilled life, however, sometimes people need help to achieve this. Feeling connected to your community has lots of health and wellbeing benefits that support resilience, independence and good physical and mental health. Our Wellbeing coordinators are based within GP practices providing 1-2-1 support over the phone and face to face. Community outreach from GP surgeries and other community locations is undertaken as appropriate.

Community Links - Maltings Close

Maltings Close is a hostel in Beeston, South Leeds which provides medium to long term accommodation for up to fourteen men and women with mental health and/or alcohol problems, including rooms in a shared house, individual bedsit flats on site.

Community Links - Mental Health Support Service

The Mental Health Support Service is a team of Mental Health Support Workers (MHSWs) who work with people aged 16 and upwards with mental health problems to overcome some of the day-to-day difficulties they might encounter. The service works with clients and their carers to assess areas such as disability, identifying strengths, resources and hopes before making plans with the client to get the most out of opportunities to improve their quality of life. The support work is at the client's pace and takes a longer term view allowing time to build a sound relationship.

Community Links - Oakwood Hall

Oakwood Hall is a twelve bed registered domiciliary care home for people whose mental health support needs cannot be satisfactorily met from other services, working predominately with people with diagnosis of personality disorder and schizophrenia.

Octavia House is a hostel in Belle Isle, Leeds, providing short-stay support and housing to clients leaving Wards 3 and 4 of the NHS Becklin Centre. There are six places for women and men between the ages of 18-64 years. The longest anyone can stay is eight months.

Community Links - Personality Disorder Accomodation Support

The Community Links personality disorder accommodation support service is part of the Leeds Personality Disorder Clinical Network providing housing and resettlement support to clients in the Network. Community Links - Rose Villa

Rose Villa provides shared living accommodation for five people for up to two years It also provides satellite support to 12 people who are living independently in the local community. People are supported in their own homes but can also come to the project and access support and be part of the overall Rose Villa community. The service provides a stepping stone for people coming out of Hospital or 24 hour accommodation.

Community Links - Self Directed Support

The Self Directed Support Service is available to anyone with eligible, community based social care needs. The Fair Access to Care framework is used to decide who is eligible and Adult Social Care complete an assessment and offer personal budgets to people with critical or substantial needs. Mental Health Support Workers and Mental Health Personal Assistants will enable you to design your support, to build positive relationships, to assess needs, to develop goal plans using the Outcomes Star, to care coordinate, complete risk assessments and crisis plans, liaise with other agencies and carers involved in your support, identify services and agencies required to meet your needs.

Connect in the North

We are a Centre for Inclusive Living led by people with learning difficulties. We work to make things better for people with learning diffculties. We do training, research and consultancy. We can support people with learning difficulties to plan and controltheir own lives.

Cookridge Camera Club

The organisation aims to promote a greater interest in the hobby of still photography. We have members using both film and digital cameras. There is a programme of speakers and competitions for slides, printsand digital images. New members welcome. Cookridge Camera Club is a section of the Cookridge Village Association, but members from a wider area are welcome.

Cookridge Gardening Club

The society is a friendly group of people of all ages, who meet once a month to hear a speaker, discuss common items of interest, enjoy refreshments and contribute to a plant stall. There is an annual flower, fruit, vegetable, baking, and craft show every autumn.

Cookridge Methodist Church

Regular activities include: Beavers, Cub Scouts, Scouts, House groups, Luncheon Club, Afternoon Tea Group, Wednesday Fellowship, Thursday Group, Youth Group. Where are we? Cookridge Methodist Church is situated on the corner of Otley Old Road and Tinshill Road, Cookridge, Leeds, LS16 7DF. Part of Headingley Methodist Circuit, a group of six churches in North Leeds.

Cookridge Village Association

To provide without distinction of sex or political, religious or other opinions, facilities for social welfare and leisure activities for all Cookridge residents. Please see our website for details of groups that use the Village Hall.

Cookridge Village Scout Group

Scouts helps children and young adults reach their full potential. Scouts develop skills including teamwork, time management, leadership, initiative, planning, communication, self-motivation, cultural awareness and commitment. We help young people to get jobs, save lives and even change the world.
