Leeds Asylum Seekers Network LASSN volunteers help asylum seekers, refugees and other migrants at risk to be safe, respected, supported and empowered to rebuild their lives free. We're looking for people to help - Teach English to asylum seekers or refugees who can't get to college or classes, by visiting them in their own homes - Visit an asylum seeker or refugee for two to three hours a week to help them build their confidence, and to make stronger connections with their local neighbourhood - Coordinate our Grace Hosting scheme - by putting volunteers who have a spare room in touch with destitute asylum seekers or refugees who need somewhere to stay

Leeds Black Elders Association Aims to identify and meet the needs of elders in the community - particularly, but not exclusively, those from ethnic minority groups. Having identified and assessed an individual's needs, help can be offered with advice and support, DIY and home maintenance, befriending, gardening, decorating, home security, sitting service, and shopping. Social events involving clients, volunteers, and committee members are also arranged.Meals-on-wheels service 6 days per week (will shortly change to 7 days per week).

We sell to the public through farmers markets and a subscription scheme, and wholesale to shops, restaurants and caf?s. Leeds CAB - Mental Health Team The Mental Health Outreach Advice Service provides generalist advice sessions for mental health service users and carers in hospital and community venues across Leeds. The target group is people who use mental health services and their carers, who live or work in the Leeds metropolitan district. The outreach service covers the whole of Leeds with service delivery at a number of venues around the city.
Leeds CAB - Otley and North Leeds Bureau Leeds CAB offers advice on a wide range of subjects and is open to everyone living or working in the Leeds Metropolitan District. The main subjects we can advise on are: Benefits & Tax Credits; Debt; Housing; Employment rights. We can also help with many other subjects including fuel bills, discrimination, tax, legal matters and more. To see an adviser at the North Leeds Bureau you will have to call in during our drop-in opening hours, where we will provide you with a short (5 to 10 minute) assessment looking at how you can best get help with your enquiry. If you are going to visit us for advice please help us to make the most of your visit: bring all the paperwork about your enquiry with you (e.g. letters, bills); check for any important dates or deadlines (e.g. for benefits appeals); tell the adviser if you have visited us before. Please note that drop-in sessions are very busy and we cannot guarantee to see everyone on the same day.

Leeds Centre For Integrated Living Support services for disabled and older people in the Leeds area who want to take control of any help they need with personal care and daily living tasks. The ASIST team at Leeds CIL provides advice and support on Personal Budgets and Direct Payments, including specialist advice with planning your support and employing Personal Assistants. The service is for disabled people, older people and families with disabled children; either those who are funded by the local authority or those who are self-funded.
Leeds Children's Charity The charity provides free residential short breaks/respite for disadvantaged children of Leeds aged between 7 and 11 years. Over 300 children each year enjoy time and space at Silverdale Holiday Centre, near Morecambe, where they can be themselves. Silverdale Holiday Centre is wholly owned and maintained by the charity.

Leeds Chinese Christian Church We provide a spiitual home for Christians mainly of ethnic Chinese. We are an interdenomination Church providing Bible Study and Sunday Worship services in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. There are small group meetings throughout the week.
