Cross and Cockade International WW1 Aviation Historical Society provides an opportunity for all interested in any aspect of WW1 aviation to share their interest with fellow enthusiasts and others. They produce a quality, quarterly journal. Provision of information to members and others (includes museums, libraries, national newspapers and media companies). Cystic Fibrosis Trust - North East and Yorkshire

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust is the only UK-wide charity making a daily difference to the lives of people with cystic fibrosis and those who care for them. Cystic Fibrosis is a life-shortening genetic conditon that slowly destroys the lungs and digestive system. We invest in cutting-edge research to develop improved treatments and one day a cure. We drive up standards of clinical care at specialist CF centres and clinics, we provide trusted information advice and support to those affected through our publicity, website and support services. There are almost 10,000 people with CF in the UK. Each week five babies are born with the condition. We have volunteer branches all over the region offering support and involvement to parents and sufferers

Dance Action Zone Leeds (DAZL)

DAZL is a community dance project which aims to improve health through dance activity. Our main focus is young women aged 11-25 years from areas of disadvantage in Leeds. We aim to improve young women's access to exercise by providing exciting and accessible dance projects and also to improve the mental and physical well being of young people through dance. Our work is mainly in South Leeds with some projects city wide.

Dayspring Church - Garforth

Dayspring Church, part of the Pioneer network, is a community of ordinary people who are experiencing the love and mercy of God in their lives. At some point we have each had an encounter with Jesus that has changed us and we now seek to worship and live for Him with the help of the Holy Spirit. Our desire to share Jesus with others comes from a positive hope that life can be different in a God-centred society.Our community engages in a number of different events and activities, but the basic life of our church is built around two main gatherings. The first is in small groups we call CELL. These meet in people?s homes and we consider them to be the most important. We believe that learning happens everywhere, and aim to support people to use digital credentials to access opportunities, employment, and develop a richer picture of their skills and achievements. Diocese of Leeds - Roman Catholic

The Diocese of Leeds consists of the County of West Yorkshire and parts of North Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire. There are 123 parishes and 101 schools under the care of the Diocese of Leeds. We are situated at Hinsley Hall in Headingley in the Diocesan Conference Centre.

Dogs for the Disabled

Dogs for the Disabled is a registered charity which trains dogs to become Assistance Dogs, helping disabled children and adults lead more independent lives. We train new dogs and support existing partnerships in the North of England area. We also undertake a variety of fundraising activities.

Dogs Trust Freedom Project

Dogs Trust Freedom Project provides temporary foster care for dogs belonging to women fleeing domestic violence in Greater London and Yorkshire. Volunteer foster carers will care for your dog in their own home until you are in a position to be reunited. The service is provided free of charge and costs such as pet food and veterinary treatment will be covered by Dogs Trust. In several recent studies of women seeking refuge from domestic violence, nearly half reported that their pets had been threatened, injured, or killed by their partners. If you are fleeing domestic violence and have not already obtained advice, please call the 24 hour National Domestic Violence Helpline on 0808 2000 247.

Working with elderly people to make their lives better, socially and with regards to their living conditions. Seeing to most needs that make their understanding better and getting things done so they do not have to bother and worry. Keeping it simple.

Dosti

Support service for Asian women with mental health issues across the city. Dosti runs groups in 3 venues across the city: Khushi based in Chapeltown Children?s Centre, LS7; Dosti at Stocks Hill day centre, LS12; and Sangat, a peer led group in the city. The support service includes therapeutic activities, counselling, housing advice, welfare benefits issues, service users? forum and case management. In addition Dosti runs an Outreach Support Service for vulnerable women who are at risk.

DREAM CIO

We are a group of disabled people (any disability) aged between 18 and 65 in Northwest Leeds, Ilkley and surrounding areas who meet every week. Aims: Combat social isolation; Support disabled people?s recreational needs; Share information and sources of assistance to aid independence and life planning for disabled people; Build a local resource / information base around disability issues; Be available to share information with the local community; Be involved in the planning and development of local services that affect disabled people.

To advance the education of the general public in the Drighlington Metropolitan District of Leeds and the surrounding area., in particular, but not exclusively by the provision of a lending library. To further or benefit the residents of Drighlington Metropolitan District of Leeds and the neighbourhood, irrespective of sex, sexual orientation, race, political, religious or other opinions by associating together the said residents, the local authorities, voluntary and other organisations in a common effort to advance education. Also to provide facilities in the interests of social welfare for recreation and leisure time occupation with the objective of improving the conditions of life for the residents. Provision of a library of books, e-books and jigsaws. A computer suite comprising 3 computers which have been updated this year.
